32.1 The university reserves the right to require all single undergraduate students to live in university residence halls.

32.2 In order to reside on campus in the residence halls during the fall or spring semesters, an undergraduate student must be enrolled for a minimum of nine hours. In order to reside on campus in the residence halls during the summer term, a student must be enrolled for a minimum of one hour.

32.3 To be eligible to reside on-campus in the University Apartments, the tenant must be a married student or head of a household living together with members of the immediate family as a family unit. Unmarried graduate students are also eligible; no more than two unmarried graduate students, however, may reside in one apartment. Also, the tenant(s) must be:

32.3.1 An undergraduate student registered with Texas A&M for a minimum of 12 hours each semester (or three hours each summer session); or

32.3.2 A graduate student enrolled for a minimum of nine hours in a degree program at Texas A&M (or three hours each summer session); or

32.3.3 A graduate student enrolled for summer only must be registered for three hours each summer term; or

32.3.4 A cooperative education program student enrolled in an officially approved program of study at Texas A&M.

32.4 While participation in the Corps of Cadets and the various ROTC programs is voluntary on the part of the individual student, it is the rule of the university that those students who elect such participation are required to live in Corps-designated residence halls and to participate in either the 20 meals plan or 15 meals plan options. The only exceptions are: a cadet who is married and lives with his/her spouse; a cadet who lives in the local community with parent(s) or a cadet who is a former armed service member. Students who decide to resign from the Corps are not automatically guaranteed on-campus housing in the non-cadet residence halls unless space is available.
