Grievance Procedures
49.1 A student may appeal an instructors decision
that an absence is unexcused on the grounds that evidence has

arbitrary, capricious or prejudicial. Any appeal must be
initiated within three class days of the instructors
decision. In the appeal process, the burden of proof shall be
upon the student. An appeal may be made by the student to the

the course is offered.
49.1.2 The dean of the undergraduate college in which
the course is offered or the director of graduate studies
in the case of graduate students.
