The Student Rules Process:
The Rules and Regulations Committee is charged with reviewing proposals for revisions to the Texas A&M University Student Rules. The committee forwards its recommendations to the Faculty Senate for the senate’s consideration. Proposed revisions approved by the Faculty Senate are sent to the President for final approval. Final approval from the president must be received prior to inclusion in the published rules. Only current faculty, staff or students may submit a rule change to the student rules.
Submission Deadlines:
The Rules and Regulations Committee meets monthly throughout the year unless meetings are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. For rule changes to be considered, the proposal must be submitted two weeks prior to the corresponding meeting date found below. Proposals submitted after this deadline will be considered for placement on the following meeting agenda.
